NCL In Bogura
Rangpur won the 27th National Cricket League (NCL) four-day match in three days at the Shahid Chandu Stadium in Bogra. On the third day of the match, Nasir Hossain’s team won by 8 wickets against Barisal on Monday.
After playing with 90 runs for 7 wickets the previous day, Barisal scored 141 runs today after losing the remaining 3 wickets. As a result, the target of victory in front of Rangpur was 135 runs.
Batting for an easy victory, opener Meem Mosaddek scored 80 runs off 93 balls and middle-order Nabin Islam scored 42 runs off 54 balls, leaving Rangpur with 8 wickets in 30 overs and 2 balls.
Rangpur’s pacer Mukidul Islam was adjudged the Player of the Match.
This is the first win for Rangpur. As a result of this victory, Rangpur has risen to the top of the points table with 7 points.
Bangladesh national cricket team selector Hasibul Hossain Shanto distributed the Player of the Match trophy at the end of the match. Match referee Syed Asif Hossain Didar was present at the time.
