Bogra Office: At the end of the second day of the 27th National Cricket League (NCL) four-day match at the Shahid Chandu Stadium in Bogra, Sylhet has completely taken control of the match. After crushing Chattogram for 110 runs in the second innings, Sylhet is going to set a big target with the pair of fifties of great captain Hakir Hasan and Amit Hasan. At the end of the second day, Sylhet has collected 196 runs for 6 wickets. The lead against Chattogram stands at 338 runs.

Playing with 19 runs for 1 wicket the previous day, no batsman could stand strong on the wicket. Chattogram was helpless in front of the brilliant bowling of Sylhet pacers Abu Zayed Rahi and Rezaur Rahman Raja. They were bowled out for 110 runs in the last over. Ahmed Sharif 23 and Ashraful Islam scored 22 runs for the team. Sylhet’s Abu Zayed Rahi took 5 for 37, Rezaur Rahman Raja took 2 for 28 and Mohiuddin Tarek, Nabil Samad and Sahanur took one wicket each. Batting in the second innings with a lead of 145 runs, captain Zakir Hasan’s 61 and wicketkeeper batsman Amit Hasan’s unbeaten 58 helped them to score 196 for 6. They are now 338 runs ahead of Chittagong. Ifran and Naeem Hasan of Chittagong took 3 wickets each. If there are no incidents, the four-day match is likely to be completed in three days.
