The Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) ODI tournament is starting tomorrow, Monday, at the Rajshahi and Bogra venues. North Zone vs East Zone is facing off at the Shaheed Chadau Stadium in Bogra. South Zone is the opponent of Central Zone in Rajshahi. 3 matches will be held at both venues. The final will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur.

Cricketers from North Zone and East Zone came to Bogra on February 20 to participate in the tournament. They practiced on Saturday and Sunday and prepared themselves. National team head coach Simmons, assistant coach Salah Uddin and many others associated with the national team have come to Bogra. This year’s BCBL has become attractive especially since both teams have national team stars.

North Zone is led by national team captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto. Tanjid Hasan Tamim, Habibur Rahman Sohan, Liton Das, Towhid Hridoy, Akbar Ali, Sabbir Rahman Rumman, Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, Meherb Hossain, Taijul Islam, Rishad Hossain, Nahid Rana, Shariful Islam, Mukidul Islam Mughd and Abdul Gaffar Saqlain will play for this team.

East Zone is led by Yasir Ali Rabbi. The team members are Parvez Hossain Emon, Zakir Hasan, Amit Hasan, Mominul Haque, Shamim Hossain, Shahadat Hoden Dipu, Asadullah Al Ghalib, Mohammad Saifuddin, Tanjim Shakib, Khaled Hossain, Hasan Mahmud, Nasum Ahmed, Nayeem Hasan and Nayeem Hasan Shakib.

The second match will be held in Bogra on February 26. In this match, East Zone’s opponent is Central Zone. Central Zone is led by Mahidul Islam Ankan. The team members are Saif Hasan, Naeem Sheikh, Jisan Alam, Ariful Islam, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Irfan Shukkur, Mahfizul Islam, Rakibul Hasan, Rizan Hossain, Abu Haider Roni, Ibadat Hossain, Ripon Mondal, Maruf Mridha and Wasi Siddiqui.

The 3rd and final match of the Bogra venue is on February 28. South Zone will fight with East Zone. South Zone will be led by Mehedi Hasan Miraj. The team members are Soumya Sarkar, Enamul Haque Bijoy, Jawad Abrar, Azizul Hakim Tamim, Mohammad Mithun, Afif Hossain, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Samiun Bashar Ratul, Tanvir Islam, Mostafizur Rahman, Rakibul Haque, Rezaul Rahman Raja, Ruel Mia and Sadmin Islam.

Shahid Chandu Stadium Venue Manager Jamilur Rahman Jamil said that every BCL match will be broadcast live on BCB’s own channel. Besides, spectators will be able to enjoy the game sitting on the field without tickets.
