Central Zone and East Zone faced each other at Shahid Chandu Stadium in Bogra in the 12th BCL ODI organized by BCB. Batting first, East Zone set a target of 238 runs for the opponent Central Zone.

On Thursday morning, Central Zone captain Mahidul Islam Ankon won the toss on a foggy field and sent the opponent East Zone to bat. The two openers Parvez Hossain Emon and Zakir Hasan gave a great start.

Central Zone struck first after 7 overs with a team score of 42 runs. Parvez Hossain Emon was caught by Ankon off Taskin Ahmed’s ball and departed for 27 runs. Then Amit Hasan made a valuable partnership of 61 runs with Zakir.

After Amit Hasan returned to the team for 26 runs, Zakir was out for 45 runs. The run wheel stopped when captain Yasir Ali Rabbi was out for 37 and Mominul for 34 runs.

After Mominul Haque returned to the team for 184 runs, no other batter except Naeem Hasan’s 26 could stand at the crease. In the end, East Zone was able to score 237 runs for 9 wickets. Rakibul Hasan of Central Zone took the highest 3 wickets. Besides, Taskin and Ripon Mondal took 2 wickets each.

As of last news, Central Zone had scored 37 runs for 1 wicket after 11 overs.

In the other match of the day, North Zone defeated South Zone by 6 wickets at Rajshahi Stadium for its second consecutive win.

Batting first, North Zone won the match by 6 wickets in reply to South Zone’s 144 runs and won the match with 6 wickets in just 25 overs.
