The pace bowlers showed their dominance on the first day of the National Cricket League (NCL) four-day match at the Shahid Chandu Stadium in Bogra. Barisal’s first innings was bundled out for 196 runs due to the dominance of Rangpur division pace bowlers against Barisal.

The pace bowlers took 9 of the 10 wickets in Barisal’s innings. Rabiul Haque was the most successful for Rangpur. He took 5 wickets including 5 maidens in 11.4 balls.

Another pacer, Mukidul Islam, took 3 wickets for 46 runs in 11 overs. Medium pacer Nabin Islam took one wicket. Leg spinner Rishad took the remaining wicket.

On the other hand, Barisal’s pace bowler Ruel Mia made the first blow in Rangpur’s first innings. He trapped opener Zahid Javed in the leg-before wicket trap as soon as he came to bowl in the second over of the innings.
