Shaheed Abdul Mannan XI has won the title by defeating Shimul XI in the cricket tournament organized by Bogra Press Club on the occasion of the Great Victory Day.

On Thursday (December 11), at 10 am, at Shaheed Chandu Stadium, 4 teams, Shaheed Ratul XI, Shaheed Siam-Shubh XI, Shaheed Shimul Mandal XI and Shaheed Abdul Mannan XI, participated in this tournament. The cricket tournament was inaugurated by Bogra University of Science and Technology Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Qudrat-e-Jahan by releasing balloons in a festive atmosphere.
Bogra Press Club President Rezaul Hasan Ranu, General Secretary Kalam Azad, Former President Wasiqur Rahman Bechan, Journalists Union Bogra President Ganesh Das, General Secretary SM Abu Sayeed, Former Member Secretary of the Press Club Sabur Shah Lotus, Founding Principal of Bogra Beat Model School and College Engineer Sahabuddin Saikat, Former General Secretary of the District Sports Organization MR Siddique Lemon, Member Secretary of Bangladesh District and Divisional Sports Organizers Association Syed Aminul Haque Dewan Sajal, Member of the District Sports Organization Convening Committee Mominur Rashid Sain were present at the inaugural ceremony.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) P M Imrul Kayes distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony after the game.

The award ceremony, moderated by Bogra Press Club Sports Editor Abdur Rahim, was also addressed by Press Club President Rezaul Hasan Ranu, General Secretary Kalam Azad, Senior Vice President Rahat Ahmed Ritu, Senior Joint Secretary Tofazzal Hossain, among others.

The chief guest handed over the trophy to the captain of the champion Shaheed Abdul Mannan XI. The runner-up trophy was received by Shaheed Shimul Mandal XI vice-captain Abdur Rahim. Shah Newaz Shaon was named Man of the Match and Man of the Tournament in the game.
